GBIS
How GBIS changes the numbers
GBIS sits alongside ECO4 and funds a single insulation measure per eligible home - typically cavity wall, loft top-up, room-in-roof or solid-wall insulation.
Eligibility is wider than ECO4: you don't need to be on benefits. Most low-EPC homes in council tax bands A–D (England) or A–E (Wales/Scotland) qualify.

What the grant covers
Every measure designed around your home, lodged with TrustMark, and certified for the funder.
Loft insulation
Top up to 300mm under GBIS. Quickest and most common GBIS measure.
Cavity wall
CIGA-guaranteed fill, included where survey confirms suitability.
Solid wall (IWI / EWI)
Available where GBIS funding covers it - often topped up with ECO4 for full whole-house retrofit.

Who qualifies?

EPC of D, E, F or G
Your home must have a valid EPC of D or below. No EPC? We can arrange one.
Council tax band A–D
England: bands A–D. Wales: A–E. Scotland: A–E. Higher bands aren't eligible under the General Group.
Owner-occupier or private rented
Landlord consent required for rented homes. Social housing is funded through SHDF instead.
Or on the Low Income Group
Households on means-tested benefits qualify regardless of council tax band.
