Loft Insulation
We top up to the current 300mm standard, with breathable mineral wool. Quick, clean, and usually grant-funded.
The overview
The short version, then the detail. No fluff, no jargon - just the facts you need to decide whether this is right for your home.
We top up to the current 300mm standard, with breathable mineral wool. Quick, clean, and usually grant-funded.
Every install starts with a free home survey. We measure, photograph, and talk through how you actually use the space. You get a written, fixed-price quote - not a salesperson's estimate. If grant funding applies, we check eligibility before you sign anything.
On install day, one team turns up: surveyor, lead engineer, and apprentice. No subcontractors juggling diaries, no "the guys will be in touch". We tidy as we go, protect floors and furniture, and walk you through everything that's been done before we leave.
Afterwards, your paperwork is lodged with TrustMark and the relevant scheme provider, your EPC is updated where applicable, and you get one number to call if anything ever needs attention. That's it - no upsells, no surprise extras.

Most lofts done in 2–4 hours, including loft hatch insulation and pipe lagging.
Bedrooms feel noticeably warmer that same evening, especially in older properties.
Why it pays off
No jargon, no upsells. Here's what changes for your home after we finish the install - and why it adds up.

Why GLR
One team handles the survey, the design, the install and the paperwork. No subcontractors, no handoffs, no surprises - and a real person on the phone if anything ever needs attention.

How it works
Three clear stages. Fixed pricing after survey. We work around you, not the other way round.
Check existing depth, condition, ventilation, and any storage you want to keep accessible.
Top up to 300mm, insulate the loft hatch, lag pipes, fit a water-tank jacket.
TrustMark certificate issued and EPC updated if grant-funded.
The honest answer
We'd rather tell you straight than push a sale. Here's where this works well, and where we'd want a longer conversation first.

Real homes, real installs
