How SHDF / WH:SHF funding works
The Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund (formerly SHDF) funds energy efficiency upgrades and low-carbon heating across the social housing stock, with the goal of taking properties to EPC C or better.
Wave 3 covers 2025–2028 with multi-year programmes. We deliver pre-funding feasibility, PAS 2035 retrofit design, install and the MEES / TrustMark reporting required.

What the grant covers
Every measure designed around your home, lodged with TrustMark, and certified for the funder.
Fabric-first measures
Cavity wall, loft, IWI, EWI, floor insulation, glazing - designed to hit the EPC C target.
Low-carbon heat
Air source heat pumps and heat networks delivered alongside the fabric package.
Solar PV & ventilation
Roof-mount PV and MVHR where the retrofit design calls for them - fully integrated, not bolted on.
Eligibility
Who qualifies?
Most eligible households are surprised how straightforward it is. We confirm in minutes - no paperwork from you to start.
Registered providers
Local authorities, ALMOs, housing associations and other registered providers of social housing in England.
EPC D or below
Properties must currently sit at EPC D, E, F or G. The fund pays to lift them to EPC C minimum.
Programme of at least 100 homes
Wave 3 funding is allocated to programmes of scale, often delivered in consortia. We can run as lead contractor or partner.
Match funding committed
Providers contribute a percentage of project cost from their own programme. Exact split set by the wave guidance.
