How PSDS funds your project
PSDS grants cover the capital cost of low-carbon heat replacement and supporting energy efficiency measures, with the aim of cutting fossil fuel use and lifecycle carbon.
Phase 4 runs 2025–2028 with around £530m allocated. We help with the application, the technical design, and the install - and we keep within the strict reporting requirements.

What's Included
What the grant covers
Every measure designed around your home, lodged with TrustMark, and certified for the funder.
Low-carbon heat
Air source, ground source and water source heat pumps. Heat networks where appropriate.
Building fabric
Insulation, glazing upgrades and airtightness measures that support the heat pump's seasonal performance factor.
Controls & metering
BMS upgrades, sub-metering and monitoring - required for reporting on the project's actual savings.
Eligibility
Who qualifies?
Most eligible households are surprised how straightforward it is. We confirm in minutes - no paperwork from you to start.
Public sector body
Central government, NHS, schools, FE/HE, emergency services, local authorities and devolved-administration estates.
Fossil fuel heating in place
Existing gas, oil or coal heating to be replaced. PSDS doesn't fund like-for-like fossil renewals.
Suitable building stock
Buildings need to be capable of operating efficiently with a heat pump - fabric upgrades can be bundled in to get there.
Match funding available
Salix expects the applicant to fund the parts of the project that don't directly decarbonise heat, plus any over-budget elements.

Delivery on site, commissioning to BSRIA spec, post-install metering and the M&V reporting Salix requires.
