Sustainable Warmth Fund

How Sustainable Warmth works

If your home isn't on mains gas - typically oil, LPG, electric, or solid fuel - and you're in a low-income household, the Sustainable Warmth Fund covers the upgrade.

Local authorities deliver the funding. The measures and the package value depend on your council's allocation, but a full retrofit is often in scope.

FULLY FUNDED

What's Included

What the grant covers

Every measure designed around your home, lodged with TrustMark, and certified for the funder.

Insulation

Loft, cavity, solid-wall (internal or external), floor - whatever the retrofit design calls for.

Low-carbon heating

Air source heat pumps as a primary replacement for oil, LPG and electric heating systems.

Solar PV (in some packages)

Where the council includes solar in their package, we fit a system sized to the home and lodge it for EPC uplift.

Eligibility

Who qualifies?

Most eligible households are surprised how straightforward it is. We confirm in minutes - no paperwork from you to start.

A warmer, more efficient home

Off the gas grid

Your primary heating must be oil, LPG, electric, or solid fuel - not mains gas.

EPC D, E, F or G

The home must have an EPC rating of D or below. We can arrange a fresh EPC if needed.

Low household income

Generally combined household income below £36,000, though councils set local criteria.

Owner-occupied or private rented

Both tenures eligible. Landlords need to consent in writing and may need to contribute in some areas.

How It Works

Three steps to funded

From eligibility check to installed in weeks, not months.

01

Eligibility check

We confirm postcode, fuel type, income band and tenure against your local council's published criteria.

02

Retrofit assessment

PAS 2035 whole-house survey. We design the measure package, lodge it for funder approval.

03

Install & sign-off

Measures fitted, EPC updated, TrustMark certificate issued, paperwork lodged with the council.

Real homes, real grants

Warmer homes, lower bills, fully funded.

We've handled thousands of grant applications. We know what qualifies, what doesn't, and exactly what the funder needs to see.
